TAMILNADU BIILIARDS & SNOOKER ASSOCIATION (TNBSA) was established as a society on 2nd July 1981 in the name of Tamil Nadu Billiards Association S.No.154 of 1981 by the Registrar of Societies, Madras South. The founder President was Mr.G.NARASIMHAN, founder of THE HINDU – M/s Kasutri & Sons Ltd.

As on 3rd December 1993 the name of the Association was changed by a special resolution dated 21.11.1993 to Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association.

TNBSA is the apex body controlling and guiding the game of Billiards and Snooker in the State of Tamil Nadu. TNBSA is affiliated to BILLIARDS AND SNOOKER FEDERATION OF INDIA (BSFI). BSFI is directly under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs – Sports Authority of India.

At the State level we are affiliated to the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) and the Tamilnadu Olympic Association.

The Patron in Chief of the Association is Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu.

Our current President is Mr.S.Surendran from Erode who is a sports enthusiast and son of Late Justice S. Sivasubramaniam former Judge of Madras High Court.

The General Secretary is Ganesh Namasivayan a practising Chartered Accountant.
